About me

I am an assistant professor in the department of sociology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I teach courses on sociological theory, health, medicine, and social welfare. On this website you will find information detailing my academic work and other professional activities.

My research centers on how scientific research about the mind, the body, and the environment shapes social inequalities. I am especially interested in efforts to address inequalities related to race, gender, class, and sexuality by leveraging scientific evidence.

I received my PhD from the department of sociology at University of Illinois at Chicago in 2024.
