I am an assistant professor in the department of sociology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I teach courses on sociological theory, health, medicine, and social welfare. My research centers on how scientific research about the mind, the body, and the environment shapes social inequalities. I am especially interested in efforts to address inequalities related to race, gender, class, and sexuality by leveraging scientific evidence.

I received my PhD from the department of sociology at University of Illinois at Chicago in 2024.
